Little Paradise for a big Group Jan 08, 2015
It took me a long time to find a perfect place for our big group. We were getting married in Costa Rica and 17 people wanted to come.. I was looking for something spacious, great for an outdoor party, with an amazing view, close enough to tourist attractions but far enough to be quiet and private, place where we wouldn't have to worry about food or taking turns cooking, where we can be pampered, while watching birds and monkeys. Yes, it sounds like a long, impossible list. But it worked!!

The big wooden table was our favorite feature of the house. We met there every night for a delicious meals cooked by chef Ronald and played Cards Against Humanity for the rest of the night. It was also large enough for the wedding dinner!

The villa has 6 bedrooms with bathrooms - each one more unique than the other. 2 of the bedrooms are completely separate (cottage like style) buildings at the side of the house. They have their own kitchenettes, too. 2 bedrooms are located under the main house - these are the most quiet and charming. One of them can sleep a family - it's like a double room. The last 2 bedrooms are in the main house so you don't have to walk far for breakfast!

Ahh, speaking of breakfast - you can sip your coffee by the pool and if you look ahead - you will see the ocean, if you look up - you will see monkeys jumping on the roof or hanging out on the stair rail. If you look left - you will see chef Ronald putting a huge pile of bacon and eggs on the huge, almond wood table.

He would always ask us a day before what we feel like eating and then go to the market to grab fresh fish and veggies - the main ingredients in CR. We paid for groceries, but chef Ronald came with the house. So did maids, pool cleaning crew, gardener, villa manager Sabrina, and a security guard.

The house is located 5 minute drive from the beach and main Manuel Antonio shops and Park. You can also call a taxi that would take you there for about $8.

This place can sleep 12 super comfortably (6 bedrooms, remember?), but if you don't need a ton of privacy, you can add few more - there is a couch in the living room and a half-opened sun room with sofa upstairs. I'd say 18 could be accommodated.

If you have a large group of people and looking for a luxurious but not outrageously priced villa in Costa

Rica - Casa Maravilla is you place!
No, we are not having fun at all..
Comfy chair!
