Eating in Dracula's Birthplace Jul 06, 2009
The Casa Dracula restaurant is in the actual building in which the real Dracula- Vlad Tepes (aka the Impaler) was born. The outside has a plaque commemorating Vlad. The interior of the restaurant is very regal, but a touch run down. Kind of like how you would imagine the debonaire vampire Dracula's home to be like I guess. There are pictures of Vlad the Impaler. The food was fairly cheap, but nothing special. Of course I had to have red wine with dinner. The service was kind of brusque as well, which was unusual for Romania. Honestly though, we didn't go there for the food, but to say that we ate in the house where Dracula was born. For that it was worth it.
