Ignacio Allende, was a Spanish Army captain turned into a leader of Mexican independence movement. He worked under the leadership of Miguel Hidalgo in the struggle and took over the reins after. Played a very important role in Independence rebellion. He was captured and excuted in Chihuahua for treason in later stages of the war. Recognizing his heroics, his name was added to the San Miguel city and now called as San Miguel de Allende.
The home where he raised turned into a museum and open for public. This place is next to the symbol of San miguel de Allende, Parish Angels church. Has two floors. Ground floor is with 16th century to 18th century drawings, paintings, articles used in the independence etc..
Second floor is more with the household items.
