I took a sailboat from Colon Panama to Cartegena, Colombia. I took in the sites of the city...went to a volocano and had a mud massage and then I went to Playa Blanca and enjoyed a few days on the beach with no running water or electricity.

First day, and looks like such a beautiful city already. It was time to say goodbye to our beloved hostel. We didn´t want to leave, it was so nice and so cheap! Got a taxi from Taganga to the bus terminal and then a ticket to Cartegena. Bus ride took about 5hrs, and then another hour on another city bus before we then caught a taxi to our hostel with a guy we met on the bus from Santa Marta. Not as complicated as it may seem though. First impressions of Cartegena... well, we know we will...

The first country I visited outside the United States was Colombia. I absolutely loved it there and would not mind living there for the rest of my life. The people were friendly and I even met one American couple that was on their honeymoon! I need to travel back to see the dance clubs, learn more of the culture and take more pictures!
