Carriage House Inn Emmitsburg Reviews

Yum! New Year's Day dinner at the Carriage House was quite a treat! This charming establishment is housed in a building from 1857, and it's now on the National Registry for Historic Places. The building has been a feed store, a broom factory and a bus depot. Now it's just a great place to eat.
We visited the Carriage on New Year's Day, so typical New Year's fare (pork, kraut, beets) was available as the daily special. I opted for the French onion soup to start, and it was very yummy. Some of my other dinner companions thoroughly enjoyed the cream of crab soup. For the main course, I chose a ham steak, and it was delicious as well. The blackberry pie a la mode for dessert was a nice end to my dining experience.
The wait staff was incredibly friendly, and we were able to enjoy our time together without feeling hurried.
If you're in the mood for a great meal in historical Emmitsburg, you know where to go!
