Carrara Markets Mar 24, 2011
Hey Everyone. Recently took a Sunday trip to the Carrara Markets. It is open on the weekends. Not too far from the center of town so easily accessible by transportation. There is alot of cool stuff there and booths if you wish to buy some souvenirs! Bought a cool t-shirt with a tie colored like the Oz flag and a few boxing kangaroo stuffed animals to send back home. It is not humongous compared to other markets I've been to around the world but a good way to kill time in the afternoon on a weekend.

There is awesome diners for breakfast inside!

And for children there is a giant inflatible slide that can entertain them all day. So much fun ( even for big kids )

Something new around every corner @ Carrara Markets Oct 24, 2010
Carrara Market is not located that close to Surfers or the main spots in town, but it's worth to visit if you have some extra time. The easiest way to reach it is driving your own car, but if you don't have one, there's public transportation available.

They work only during the weekends. On Friday it's about Farmers' Market and Sat & Sun are the days for a variety of products including fresh products, bargains, 2nd hand ones, clothing, shoes, accessories, etc.

The market is big, so it's better if you decide to follow a route; otherwise you will end up walking in circles. There are things for the whole family. Including fun games and even a mini farm. They also sell souvenirs which are cheaper than in other places in town. Also they have good deals regarding fashion, sweet!

And if you are getting hungry, there are many stalls where you can grab a bite and also a couple of larger ones which are more a restaurant.

This place is nice and you can spend the whole day in it. I actually did so and think about going back regularly. This will be the place for me to buy fresh products :)
