Carola del Sur Huacachina Reviews
Accomodation o.k - staff unfriendly. Mar 01, 2013
I spent there with a friend (peruvian) one night.
They offer - as usual for backpacker hostels - some tours. We chosed the Buggy tour with sandboarding - wich was pretty nice.
The hostel can be described as "average" - cheap (but without breakfast) with simple, but proper rooms.
There is a pool, which was well used - i didn't enter, because of lack of time - so cannot say something about the water-quality.
They have a bar/restaurant. At night it can be very loud when your room is close to the bar. Luckily ours wasn't, but i heared a bit when i paid the toilet a visit at night.
Very negative was the acquaintance with one of the receptionists (one curly guy, a bit overweighted).
While he spoke to my peruvian friend quite normal, he had fun to mock me. At first i found it funny, but the guy didn't stopped and it was not longer funny when every second phrase is a mock. Other members of the reception on the contrary were quiet, but unfriendly though. This hostel is obviously not controlled professional. Everything seem to be too "laid-back".
I was happy when we leave this acommodation.

Ok accomodation in Huacachina - Carola del Sur Mar 06, 2009
While we were in Huacachina, our taxi driver drove us to this hotel in order to check it and we ended staying here.
It's cheap, but for the same price you can find better places, nevertheless it was ok. By the way, the rate doesn't include breakfast.
It's just walking distance from the boulevard, closer to the avenue.
It's average clean and the rooms are ok, although I wish they had bigger windows. It's incredibly hot and if you open the tiny windows the mosquitos would invade your room. The building didn't look very nice though. The bed was ok and they are pretty new. Bathroom was ok too.
Regarding the amenities, they had a nice yard and a pool, where you can hang out. They also had a nice restaurant / bar, which doesn't open until late, but close late too, haha. Offering happy hours daily. The bar was the best thing here, haha. Really liked their style of furniture.
Staff is not so helpful, but...
A contra might be that they don't have a/c or fans in the rooms and it can be loud, which wouldn't allow you to go to bed early.
