This is the typical restaurant recommended in Nairobi. Everybody knows it. If a local person wants to have dinner there they pay almost 50US$ which is a lot for the local people. There is a security control to enter the restaurant and it is huge. I wouldn´t be able to tell you for how many people it is, but the day we went was fully packed. In fact, they even run out of crocodile meat! something I was really willing to try. This restaurant is usually included in many packages so food is included, but be careful with your drinks! they are awfully expensive and you don´t even know how much it is until you get the bill. PLEASE, take it seriously, it is way expensive.
Besides this negative fact, it is a very fun restaurant. The waiters walk along the restaurant with many different kinds of meat. If anybody tells you eat zebra, lion, etc, it is not true :) But they have ostrich and crocodile. There is also a store at the exit, which is quite nice, although don´t remember how expensive. By the way, the red house wine was good! It was southafrican wine. Part of the Tanzania travel blog |

I loved this place the second I walked through the door. I just started eating meat a year ago, and boy am i glad i did. You walk in to the most amazing atmosphere, the people that work there are so friendly and the customers range from tourists to locals, which is great because most of the upper class restuarants in Kenya are only visited by Tourists.
the way it works is it's all you can eat. and people walk around with every kind of meat you can imagine on a traditional Maasai Sword that has been cooked in a pit fire. And until you remove the flag from your table to surrender they will continue coming around with everything from chicken wings, ostrich, beef, gizzards, crocodile, duck and everything else in between. then after you surrender you get a dessert and coffee. it was worth every penny, and i will go back when i return to Kenya in December. |

Carnivore. At the restaurant there was a group of male Kenyan singers who performed throughout our meal - they even got Helen, Lucy and Eppie up to dance! They were extremely talented and sung a beautiful a capella version of 'Stand By Me'. We finished our lunch… Nairobi Highlights |

We stayed until around 2am and then headed off to Carnivore (after having sung a song that no-one knowledgeably put forward for us). Nick drove us from the bar to Carnivore (as he was the most sober amongst us) and halfway there, there was a police check. Eppie was in the back of the jeep… Day 13 |

As we were arriving late we went straight to a restaurant called “Carnivor”. It is a very expensive restaurant in Nairobi so there was a big security control to enter the place. Food was excelent although I wanted to try cocrodile meat and they run out of it. You can get more info in my review… Taking a plane in Nairobi |
