The Carnival of Veracruz is an event that takes place in early February, has been performed for more than 80 years, is the largest in Mexico and one of the largest in the world, considered the most joyful of the world. Takes place in along the Boulevard Manuel Avila Camacho. Lasts 9 days, in which there is a party atmosphere with parades and music, floats and people dressed in dancing groups called comparsas. There are dances which interprets danzón traditional folklore of Veracruz. His music made from harps, marimbas and guitars fills the entire festival being the most popular in the place.

In the street there are numerous stalls selling food, snacks and beverages, especially beer. There are also sold souvenirs of the carnival. Is an event for all ages.
