On the trusty advice of the Lonely Planet guide, we decided to take the crossing from Carmelo in Uruguay to Tigre in Argentina mainly because it takes you through the river delta, rather than just across open water as between Colonia and Buenos Aires.
It´s also supposed to be a much shorter jour…
