Ah Carmel! The roar of the ocean is invigorating. The waves hammer the shore relentlessly, delighting adults and children alike. The beach is busy today but the waves are fairly high so people are attempting to jump the smaller ones closer to shore and dip their toes in the water but few venture any further. On the way to Big Sur and Morro Bay we made a few stops; one in the village of Carmel By the Sea, that you entered at Ocean Avenue, and at cafe Nepenthe with a beautiful view. We also stopped at Big Sur Library that featured gas pumps and a general store. . no kidding! And there was a "working-crow" and lounging Elephant Seals along the way as well.
