Brand new accommodation in Port Au Prince Jan 26, 2011
This is a brand new accommodation for the Port Au Prince area, which many more places like this is needed. It would provide a clean, healthy place to stay and eat at, and provide employment to the Haitians.

I have only been staying in a single room for about one month now. The Single Rooms (12m2) are equipped with a complete en-suite Bathroom for $120.00 US/Per Night. If you stay a night , you do get a full complimentary breakfast including: eggs, fresh fruit, toast, juice and coffee. They have a professional Sri Lakan chef, who does prepare good meals in the outdoor dining hall. There is a full service cocktail pool bar attached to the swimming pool.

All rooms have 24 Hour Internet Access, and the laundry service is about 3 times a week. The rooms have hot water showers and with daily housekeeping, Satellite TV, 24 Hour Electricity, Security, camper mini-fridge and A/C.

The main problem is that the small bed is locally made in each of the single rooms. The rails that were put on the slides to hold the mattress are too short and your head and feet will slump down and causes body aches. In my opinion, the beds are also too small for a grown man and mattress are cheaply made.

I would like to say that the Haitian staff that I have met and come in contact with, are always very friendly and try to help you in any way that they can. I have not seen the same friendly contact with the international management.

Over all, if you can afford to stay at this place, I would suggest it.

I only wish they could stop selling fries with curry powder on them.
