The capital of Wales has its own personality being proud, strong, polite and hard-working. The jewel of the crown would be its famous Castle built since Roman Times as a fort, enforced by normans with a wall and enriched with a victorian palace by powerful family Bute. A worth and interesting destination for travellers.

Cardiff is the capital of Wales and situated in Southern Wales.  This is my first trip this year to start the New Year and it's a damn shame that I live and work in England for the past 3.5 years and I haven't been to Wales until now.  LOL!  Cardiff is about 1.5 hours …

november 2006, traveled to the uk on a whimsical invitation by a kiwi friend of mine to see the game we both love the most. met up in london where he was living, then drove to cardiff for the weekend to see the rugby game, wales vs. new zealand. didn't get to see the haka, but nz won, plus i met the welsh team and drank an obscene amount, though not compared to my kiwi friends - they are still champs when it comes to that! :-)

Quick visit to Wales

So in my leaving I'm trying to see all my relatives before I go, with little success. But I managed a quick trip to Wales to see my grandmas cousins, John & Ave who I'd stayed with in June. I left Lori's at 8am with her and made my way to Victoria Coach station. Sat around for an hour as …

Argh! After postponing the trip with Matrilla, the car failed the MOT, burning a little too much fuel to be allowed on the road. The car will now be handed to my trusted expert and Lotus specialist to get the emissions sorted as soon as he has time in his diary. With Matrilla talking of liquidising…
