Carcans - Camping municipal de L'Océan - Reviews - Carcans

I have stayed many times at the camping in Carcans and this place is "out of this world". The town is very nice and the main attraction is the fantastic beach and the woods. The camping site is almost on the beach and many of the regulars are surfers and lifeguards. If you arrive before 1st June you are off season and then it is really cheap to stay - but even after that date it is a just to do it.

The municipal Campsite "L'Océan", is situated 150m away from the atlantic ocean, offers 447 shaded places over 10 ha in wild forest.

Carcans is a seaside resort with vast natural preserved sites, on one side, the endless white sand beaches, on the other side, the largest natural fresh water in France and between a magnificent forest crossed by a lot of cycle tracks.

Carcans-Océan is situated in Medoc, on the atlantic Gironde Coast 50km away from Bordeaux and Arcachon.
