Riverside and the Carbon County Welcome Center Sep 01, 2015
Riverside is a tiny town of about 50 (down 10% since 2000) located at the intersection of Wyoming Highways 230 and 70 in Carbon County in Southern Wyoming near the border with Colorado. Riverside had a peak population of 97 in the 1960 census. This is a pleasant little town with a few shops and restaurants and a very nice welcome center to acquaint tourists with all the nearby attractions. Riverside is located at the intersection of Highways 230 and 70. Highway 70 is one of the most beautiful drives in the state and attracts lots of tourists. Outdoor and winter recreational opportunities abound. I had a great conversation with the lady at the welcome center.
