Caravelle Hotel Ho Chi Minh City

The arranged transfer from the airport to the hotel took about 25 minutes. I think its a short distance but all the motorbikes we had to avoid on the way in made it go slow in speed.
My room is on the 9th floor with a view over the Opera building. The rooftopbar "Saigon Saigon" (accesible via the 9th floor) offers great view over the buzzing city centre.
For an additional charge of USD 59,- they offered me a suite with seperate living and sleepingroom, but to me it is not neccesary as I will be outside and exploring as often as possible.
Internet is free (also in the rooms). This means there are no extra charges, but probably its added already to the room-rates.
Most likely its an expensive part of the city looking at all the well known brands having a shop here (Louis Vutton, Rolex etc.) but we will find out soon. At the same square big hotelchains are also located here (Intercontinental, Sheraton and so on).
There is an ATM on the 1st floor, fitness and a nice pool on the 4th, various restaurants in and outside the hotel.
