A great taste of Australian sea food Apr 17, 2011
My family and I stumbled across this quaint, sea food place on a walk from our holiday villa in Cairns.

At first it seemed that they just served raw fish and other marine life to the locals.

On closer inspector we came across a menu that showed a variety of fish, many of which were unknown to us.

Two of the local and popular fish are Barramundi and Spanish Mackerel. Both were very tasty and moreish and well worth trying.

Other marine life on the menu was octopus, squid and even shark.

The fish (or even other sea food) were served with a generous portion of chips which would fill anybody up.

The meal itself was very cheap, with the whole meal costing only a couple of dollars.

It may not have been the healthiest of meals, but it was very tasty and allowed us to try something 'new.'

I highly recommend this to anyone staying in or around Cairns for lunch or dinner.
Calimari.
Calimari with chips.
Barramundi... worth a try.
