Capri is paradise

Today was my day trip to Capri booked through the hotel. I'd seen the trip to Capri through Viator before but it required a 48 hour in advance purchase and you had to print a voucher and other such nonsense. Thank god for Concierge desks, they were able to book my trip the evening before and it ended up costing quite a bit less at 110 Euro (it was advertised on viator for $270). I was absolutely looking forward to this experience as it gave me a chance to see another city in Italy, and one th...

My Birthday Trip to Capri
posted by:
May 07, 2007 - May 15, 2007
The day after our wedding, it was my 28th birthday and my husband decided to surprise me with a day trip to Capri as I had been bugging him about going there.  I don't know when he planned on telling me that we were going, but that problem was solved when the receptionist handed us our tickets the day before saying "here are your tickets to Capri for tomorrow."  I think she felt bad about the spoiled surprise. We took a boat from Praiano to Positano and from Positano we took a spee...

Aside from the disappointment that was our Rome trip, FUA (our school), made up for it with an amazing weekend on the southern coast of Italy. After a god awful 6 and a half hour bus ride to Napoli, we had time to get out and explore the city for a little. We saw the Castello Nuovo and the Royal Palace, before we went off to eat the renowned pizza and drink the best espresso in Italy and so therefore the world. I ended up eating a deep fried calzone which was as legend has it the best I...

The Most Beautiful Island in the World
posted by:
Jul 19, 2007
Capri is an Italian Island off the Sorrentine Peninsula. The minute I stepped foot on it I can truly say I fell in love. I've been to Pisa, Naples, Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Milan, and Verona in Italy, but none took my breath away like Capri. As our boat pulled into the impacting harbor it was like we left the real world and entered paradise; it was like being inside a post card. We took a boat ride along the deep blue and turquise colored water, it seemed so thick and infinite that I ...

What a time, what a time. I will never forget the walk through Firenze on the first official night in Italy. It was beautiful and the duomo was so brillantly light up. I will never forget my third full day either. Venice and all the adventures that comes with it. This city on water has the best alley ways to discover something different, or just to loose yourself in. I must not forget Rome, Sorrento, or Capri. Overall this trip was amazing; To say the least.

Naples,or better known as Napoli. A bizarre city, dangerous sometimes, but full of ancient history and breathless views. Forget all the touristic bits, one of the thing you will must see once there is Napoli sotterranea (naples underground city),a visit through under the modern city built on top of a greek amphitheater and romans house. Caserta city with the second biggest castle in europe after Versailles, Pompeii and the amazing conservation, and Capri island, are not too far from Naples.

YOU GOT TO LOVE CAPRI. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A SUMMER HOME HERE............ Capri (Italian pronunciation Cápri, usual English pronunciation Caprí) is an Italian island off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples. It has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.   Features of the island are the Marina Piccola (Small Harbor), the Belvedere of Tragara, which is a high panoramic promenade lined with villas, the limestone masses called Sea St...
