Capo Testa, Sardinia Jul 10, 2008
If you like rocky landscapes Capo Testa is a must-go when you travel to the north of Sardinia. You'll find wonderful shaped and weathered granite rock there. The combination with the deep blue sea, the wind and the waves is simply breathtaking. Corisca, 12 kilometers apart, is visible at the horizon.
Capo Testa is located on a small peninsula 3 kilometers west of Santa Teresa Gallura. There are some beautiful beaches (Rena di Ponente) and a nice lighthouse, too. This place was already well known in ancient times. The Romans laid out sone pits at Capo Testa and had a settlement there ("Tibula"). Please note: It can be quite windy!
