Koala bears @ Cape Otway! Nov 01, 2012
Cape Otway was a lot of fun, because we went their with the specific purpose of seeing a koala bear. They like to hang out in Eucalyptus trees. There were lots of people staring into the trees. I did not want to share a view of a koala bear, so we kept driving in search of the “perfect shot.” Three quarters of the way to the lighthouse, we saw a lone koala bear hanging out in a tree, but we decided to keep going because many people surrounded him. After the lighthouse turned out to be not worth our time we headed back to the lone koala bear. This time he was not surrounded by paparazzi, so we got out of the car and took approximately 150 pictures of him. We were smart enough to keep our distance. We were highly annoyed when less than intelligent tourists decided to try to touch the koala bear. I kind of wanted to lecture them on the fact that koala bears have sharp claws and that petting them was not a good idea, but then I thought, “They probably think they have all of the answers, so there is no point in trying to help them.” Since our annoyance factor was near a 9 we decided to leave as we other people were getting out of their cars.

Great Drive through thick rain forest to ocean Mar 11, 2011
its a great adventurous drive through thick rain forest to ocean . there is beautiful light house at the tip. entry to light house is about 16 dollars. I was lucky enough to spot a fully adult koala crossing road and climbing tree. have to just stop the car to save koala being hit.then many other cars just stoped behind me and people started taking pics of the lovely animal. i too took few pics of him crossing road and climbing tree . this experience actually made my day. just wait for one day to post my pics :-)
