Cape Heritage Hotel Cape Town Reviews
NICE BOUTIQUE HOTEL Oct 23, 2010
This very intimate boutique hotel of 17 rooms is located in a renovated block built in the 1780' and nicely decorated with an eclectic but harmonious mixing of classic and contemporary furniture and art(nice paintings, wire and paper animal trophies...).
After an airport pick up(R 350),we spent 4 days in a luxury room(I got with Booking fantastic rates:120 euro, breakfast and tax included).
The spotless room was large with a comfortable king size bed,the bathroom also spacious with a huge shower and bath tub.The toiletries were handmade and the shampoo organic.
We had a room on the first floor and on the street:on the morning because of deliveries, you may hear at 6:00 some noise, but as we are early birds we were already up...ask for a room on the courtyard if you are a late riser!
The rooms are all uniquely decorated and you can have a look at them because when they are inoccupied, the staff leave the doors open.
You can have breakfast inside or in the courtyard:it was nice with different pastries, croissants and rolls, cheeses, ham and a good coffee!Hot breakfast is made to order.
Very well located to explore Cape Town, close to Greenmarket, shops, museums,a free car park, car rental agencies,10 minutes taxi drive to the very lively Waterfront,it is also situated in a block with several fine restaurants(it was great because we did not have to leave the hotel at night) and bars reasonably priced:though they serve French food:),we went next door to the Caveau where we enjoyed a tasty dinner as in the Africa Café,a nice place to explore the African cooking. But the Thai restaurant Simply Asia was very average.
Great lounges with a computer for the guests, all the hotel is free wifi.
Perfect service by smiling,easy-going and very helpful staff.
