Visitng Cape Coast Castle was a great, and quite moving, experience. There is a great museum on the history of the castle and slave trade in Western Africa and a tour of the castle takes you through the rooms were kept, throughout the castle, and through the door of no return.

Oh what a weekend! I
love Ghana
so much! Or maybe I just love Kokorbrite
and Big Millys? This could be it too.
Gardenia arrived and I had to wait nearly three hours for
her at the airport. Her plane arrived
…castle and reminisce about the history we will never know…slavery. Everytime I go to that castle I can envision
what might have happened there and it’s just devastating. Hearing the stories from the tour guide makes

So this weekend NYU took us to the Coconut Grove Beach Resort in Elmina, about a three hour drive from Accra. We left at 6:30 Saturday morning. Yeah, that's early. The resort is gorgeous.
