Getting into LA

Normally, I'm not really into taking pictures out the plane window, but I couldn't resist during my flight from Denver to LA.  We flew over Canyonlands, Utah; although, I couldn't remember where until recently.  Apparently, there was a great view of Las Vegas, but I was on the wrong side of the plane.  I also missed out on a good shot of downtown Los Angeles, but I wasn't too upset about that one.  After waiting forever to get my luggage, I met up with my friends, Valerie ...

It is divided into three districts not connected by roads interior to the park: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, and the Maze. The Island in the Sky offers sweeping vistas over the lower two districts, and seems to be largely geared toward that. The Needles and the Maze are the more rugged, backcountry districts that offer excellent backcountry hikes and camping. I continued to Moab, to see some of the most beautiful national parks of the US I've seen so far: Canyonlands and Arches. In Canyonlands I've only been to the Island in the Sky part, the most frequently visited and most easily accesable part of the park which is already stunning, the other parts (Maze and Needles) are said to be even more spectacular, maybe next time!
