Canton is a medium-sized town in northeastern Ohio, whose major attraction is the National Professional Football Hall of Fame. This area is, in fact, one of the cradles of professional football, and boasted several football teams in the time running up to the founding of the NFL. High school football is HUGE in Canton and nearby Massilion.

The William McKinley Presidential Library and the First Ladies' Historical Site can also be seen in Canton. This is in the midst of Ohio's Amish country, but is still only an hour's drive from Cleveland and two hours from the capital, Columbus.

M & I have been saying for years (not hyperbole) that we had to go to the Football Hall of Fame. How do you live in Ohio for 8 years and not visit the HOF? It would be a travesty. And it's not like there are a lot of restrictions - the Hall is open every day of the year except Christmas. So we went. We estimated it would take us 2 hours to get there, because it seems like it takes 2 hours to get to anywhere from Columbus. And we were right. A pretty quick trip, all in all. Traffic and wea...

The Hall of Fame was suprisingly more interesting then any of us thought it would be. I don't specifically remember much to say about it, other than the cost was reasonable and it was something to do if you are ever in Canton, Ohio.
