Cantina C Q Sabe
Cantina C Q Sabe Reviews
Jul 28, 2006Bixiga is a neigborhood in São Paulo well-known for its theaters and wonderful italian restaurants, owned by italian immigrants - or their sons and daughters. Cantina C Q Sabe must be the best of them. The price is pretty much average for São Paulo standards, and you can even add to your bill a couple of jars of the house's wine. They have everything you can remember of an italian food book, from pizzas and pasta to incredible cheeses and desserts. The owner, Adilson, might receive you in person, tell a couple of stories about some of the pictures on the wall (of pretty much every single public person in Brazil), and seat at you table with a plate full of cheese he just imported and wanna try. And while that happen, some singers and guitar players soothe you and your loved one with a romantic italian song, or they play the tarantella in order to bring down the house - the waiters even through empty trays on the floor, just for the party. Noisy exactly to the point where it makes you comfortable, but doesn't disrupt your privacy or your dinner. And your dinner, I mean, feast, is gonna be awesome. Fresh ingredients, good quality pasta, and experienced cooks do the trick for a perfect meal - from a simple spaghetti with meatballs to the more elaborate pasta with a side of lamb chops. And since the price is not abusive at all, it makes everything easy for a big family dinner party - or a romantic night out. The place is cozy and typically (and well) decorated. They have a parking space, and accept reservations. |
