Canterbury is the the home to 2 large universities and very student populated. It is full of history - The Catherdral, St Augustines Abbey and Canterbury Castle to name just a few. Plenty of shops and lots of places to eat and have coffee, in some shops you can even pay with euros. There is also a very vibrant nightlife and is one of the best party towns in the South East!

Canterbury is easliy accessible by bus, train and car and close to Dover for trips to France (or the other way around)!!

I guess I was waiting for them to build an amusement park on the high street or something, because at the time it seemed like there was nothing to do in town that American Cari, with her short attention span, would deign to see. Funny how you realize these things too late. But anyway, asid…

If that means nothing to you, just know that I totally got to take advantage of the system today. First stop as a freeloader was Canterbury. Nikki and I walked around... saw some old stuff... lots of cobblestone... The highlight was probably Canterbury Cathedral. SUPER old. SUPER famous. Beautiful inside. Beautiful outside. Beautiful …

Again, just what the title implies. I was leaving the UK in about a week and figured you couldn't beat twenty-pound bus fare roundtrip.
