A Hotel Adjacent to Disneyland Jun 16, 2013
We've stayed at the Candy Cane Inn twice now when visiting Southern California. It is centrally located in the Anaheim Resort District, just down the street from the entrance to Disneyland. As a base when visiting Disneyland, it can't be beat!

The Candy Cane Inn has been here a while, but it has been upgraded. Rooms open to the outside, facing a courtyard, in the traditional motel style. We've had a two double bed room each time. Rooms have a flat screen TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker. They are on the small side by today's motor hotel standards, but with two of us, we did not find this a problem. There is free WiFi in rooms and throughout the hotel. You can sit by the outdoor pool and surf the Internet!

A complimentary breakfast is served by the pool deck. There is some indoor seating, but most guests enjoy breakfast around the pool, as we did. Bagels, breads, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cold cereal, and cheese are offered. Coffee, tea, juice, and milk as beverages.

The Candy Cane Inn offers a complimentary shuttle bus to Disneyland. As Disneyland is just down the block, we usually walked, But, it is nice to have the shuttle available after a long day at the parks.

Parking is free, but the lot can be crowded on weekends. Two convenience stores are located next to the hotel, and the Anaheim Garden Walk mall with several restaurants is a short distance across the street. We plan to stay here again.

We spent a night at the Candy Cane Inn in September 2006. It is only a few minutes on foot from Disneyland. If you do not want to walk, you can also use the free shuttle. The rooms are very clean, with two queen size beds; a table with two chairs, a separate area with a sink, a small bathroom, and the windows with plantation wood shutters. As well as the usual amenities such as a refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board/iron and color cable TV with Showtime and the Disney Channel.

The hotel offers a continental breakfast buffet, which we did not have since we slept in after a day filled with Disney magic.;) There is also an outdoor pool set in a small patio/garden area. The hotel also has free self-parking, which saves you from paying at Disneyland.
