Cheap rates for weekends, not great for non-couples Jan 09, 2010
Candlewood Suites has efficiency style rooms meant for long term business stays. They have complete kitchens with an oven, range, microwave, full fridge and freezer with ice maker, dish washer, plates and glasses, pots and silverware, and even a DVD/VCR player with the TV. Because most people stay in this type of hotel during the business week, the weekend rates can be very competitive even during a Cowboys game.
The location is great for going to a Cowboys game at the new stadium, a Rangers game at the Ballpark in Arlington, Six Flags over Texas or Hurricane Harbor.
A word of caution: standard rooms only have one double bed and do not include a pull-out sleeper sofa nor do they have any cots available. My brother originally tried to sleep in the recliner, but ended up sleeping on the floor.
There is no hot breakfast available, but there is a convenience center that has items available at reasonable prices, some of which you could take back to your room at cook with your full kitchen.

I don't understand the concept Oct 10, 2009
I didn't have the intention of staying in this hotel, actually I didn't even know it existed, but I booked using Hotwire, so I didn't have a choice.
The location of this hotel is perfect if you are visiting the attractions of Arlington, Tx, like the Cowboys Stadium, the Rangers stadium, Six Flags, etc. The facilities are nice and clean, and they have a full kitchen for your convenience if you want to save by cooking and eating in your room.
Now, talking about the "inconveniences", the first is the number of beds. All of their suits are one bed and if you want to upgrade to the "bed and sofa" they charge you basically twice as much as you had paid before in hotwire, so forget about your "hot" rate. They don't have maid service, she comes only once every week, so you will have to make your bed and go the the reception and change towels when necessary. Internet is not wireless.
I sincerely don't understand what is the advantage of this "long stay" hotel, since the actual price of the room is $150 per night. I would rather stay in a Days Inn or Motel 6 and pay much less and still have a maid, two beds and wireless internet. So, all of the "advantages" of this hotel don't overcome the disadvantages.
As I said, it might work for some people, but this is not the kind of hotel I would stay in again.
