Though part of European territory, the Canarias are a group of Islands situated a few hundred kilometers West of Morocco. The archipelago consists of seven 7 major islands, two minor islands, and several small islets. The oceanic islands are of volcanic origin and can be found in the North Atlantic Ocean. They form the autonomous community of the Canary Islands which is administered by Spain.

The islands all have an eternal springtime. Temperatures between the seasons vary only some 6º C, the monthly average temperatures are from 18º to 24º C (64,4 and 75,2ºF). Ideal bathing conditions through all the year. Due to the islands geographical location, some 4º from the tropic of cancer and very close to the African coast, the islands' climate is subtropical. The surprising landscape, with high mountains covered by snow very close to the beaches, is an additional attraction. Water temperature varies from 22º C in summer to 19º C in winter.

The character of the population is influenced by this favored climate as well, Canarians are famous for being always friendly and in good mood. That can be said about the numerous foreigners, who use to spend the winter-months here, as well.

Beginning of the trip - several scales of plane
posted by:

We arrived in the morning at the airport of Los Rodeos on the 11. The boys were waiting for, and Ator, the dog. We had a small disadvantage, not arrive one from the suitcases. We made the claim. The suitcase arrive on the following day in the morning, that brought it to our house. THE TRIP.  A wonderful trip. We spent one week very pleasant in Malta. We had no problem, neither great nor small. Nothing was lost to us, we did not forget anything. Single there were two things ...

Carribean feeling

The drive from Caleta de Fustes to Corralejo took us about an hour and on the way the scenery was picturesque. The sea was turquois and all kinds of blue. With the white sand appearing the closer we came to Corralejo I felt like in a travel brochure from the Carribean or somewhere else fancy. The unusual light wind was just about right so it didn't get too hot in the sun. At the beach only a couple of kilometers before Corralejo (which I think also belongs to Corralejo) was amazing. Again the ...

Parque Nacional Las Cañadas del Teide (Tenerife,Canary Islands, Spain)
posted by:
