In about one week, I am leaving for what I hope will be an amazing adventure and experience...my first trip around the world (and hopefully not my last). Though I have been travelling to many destinations far and wide, this will be the longest so far. On top of it, I am going to make it…

I woke up to my first Pacific Northwest rainstorm. Since it was so gloomy outside, I took my time leaving the hostel and chatted with my roommates and some of the people I had gone out with the previous night. The roommate who I thought was a little odd the first night opened up a bit. She was also…

So, the only blessing of long haul flights are that if you feel ill at the start of a journey, you are most likely going to feel better by the end of it!! By the time we met the minibus connection I did feel a lot better and this was indeed good news considering I planned to spend the next 2 weeks …

What do you do when the wind chill is causing it to be -22? Honestly I have never felt cold like it, it feels like someone is slapping your face. The rest of my body is fine, but there is only so much of your face you can cover! I actually got an ice cream headache walking to the museum yesterday. …

The tour almost drove me crazy! I sweared I'd never take one again! They tell you what time you have to wake up, when and where is the meeting point, that the bus driver can't wait so you better hurry up, etc., etc. They treat you as if you were a kid! Although the people we tra…
