Everyone has their fears about traveling alone. I am no exception. I was supposed to go with my girlfriend, and that was comforting. However, a few months ago she backed out, stating later of course, that she had no intention of going in the first place. This lead to the eventual …

Tomorow I will be on a plane heading to Korea. Tomorrow. 24 hours from now. One more sleep, well IF I can sleep. It feels surreal and I don't think it has fully sunk in yet no matter how I put it. Maybe as I am sitting on the plane and the engines start up and the pilot comes o…

Every once in a while you come across a new destination and experience that simply takes your breath away. I have just returned from one of those such experiences. Nestled away on the west coast of Canada, in the heart of the former glacial fiord land in Knights Inlet Lodge. This rustic floating lo…

I went to school at Oswego State University, which is on the New York side of Lake Ontario, 45 minutes North of Syracuse. Those four years were the most formative and fun years of my life. They were so care free and enjoyable. I of course, was a frat boy, so I would visit different schools to atten…

Okay, so I hit up my old hometown of Vancouver, BC. I revisited some old favorites and checked out some new hotspots recommended by locals. Here's a bit of a summary:Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley ParkWell I'm not a big fan of confining animals, but for education, I can sort of understand it. My tag al…

These are some of my photos of East Sooke Park, along the coastal Trail. There are many trails in this wilderness park, (approx. 50 k's of trail)but this is one of my favorite hikes. It's about 10K in length. East Sooke Park is located on 1,422 hectares of land, with sooke basin on one side and Juan De Fuca Strait on the other. It is truly an amazing place, with ocean, fir forest, wildflower meadows, arbutus groves, and of course wildlife abounds everywhere you look.

Haven't been to Montreal since I was a child. For sure a cool city with a nice vibe.
My friend Mario, when he saw I was planning this trip, offered to meet up for a beer. Of course I'm up for that. So I met Mario and Val in the Square Victoria (they recognized me from my profile photo). We decided…
