I have been spending a lot of time lately trying to decide my next trip. I want to plan a longer trip this time as my 6 weeks in Europe in the spring just wasn’t enough for me. I’ve been considering maybe Asia this time around or possibly Australia but I’m finding it really hard to actually choose a place and get planning. I figure I want to travel for atleast 2 months in the spring but I guess that will depend on whether I find a travel buddy or whether I travel alone.
Here’...

So I made it and it has been one hell of a week. I have only been here 7 days and in so little time I have accomplished so much. I have a job lined up for my local starbucks, but things get a bit tricky since I am not permitted for a working visa due to my stay only being 4 months, (supposedly you have to live here for more then 6 in order to work) The manager and crew seem extremely nice and welcoming, and i know i would fit right in. The city is amazing, our apartment is located literally i...

Pulled off my Facebook group...Q: Are you going alone?A: Yes.Q: Can I come along?A: Better if you don't. I can be pretty impulsive when I'm traveling. :PQ: Which countries are you going to?A: Peru, Bolivia, northern Chile... maybe Argentina.Q: Are you going to see Machu Picchu?A: Yes.Q: Are you scared?A: Of what?Q: Why live vicariously through you?A:
Just something people say to me a LOT. Honestly, anyone can do anything
that I do, and I've met plenty of more interesting people than me,

Every year that this crew comes up they put together a fishing tournament. You take the largest fish of each of the main species we are fishing for (Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Perch) and add the inches together. I had a pretty solid 80 inches all together which is enough to win in previous years. However my Walleye was only 18 1/2 inches, pike only 35 inches and my bass was only 13 1/2. Perch was the only one I was near the largest with a ...

It started as a joke during our telephone conversation a month before when our long-time friends from Winnipeg had been 'heavily' persuaded by my wife to come and visit us; no one obliged and committed. By first week of August, a convoy of three loaded minivan was parked in front of our residence; it was them. It was an incredulous moment since we were almost ready to enjoy the mid-summer just between us. Since it's been five long years when we decided to part with th...

After checking out of the inn, we decided to drive along the Niagara Falls Parkway, stop for some souviniers and then start heading back to the US.
We stopped to see the Whirlpool Rapids, which are downstream from the falls and are created by a very sharp curve in the river.

The best trout stream in Alberta-the Crowsnest River- flows through the Crowsnest Pass. The river can go from wide and fairly flat to rapids and rocks. It's a 5 hour drive from my house but worth every minute of it. The mountains are beautiful, and the trout challenging to catch.

(cont'd...) At four o'clock in the afternoon we reached city of Kelowna, just when I was about to get completely bored. Sightseeing while driving is great, but 13 long hours for a single day...well, next time I'll fly.
Kelowna is located in the Lower Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. To the west is a gorgeous lake, while the rest is surrounded by mountains. One thing is certain; the weather here is much desirable maybe because of its lower sea-level...

Now that I've moved to Vancouver I have been trying to check out at much of this beautiful city as possible. Although there's been a fair bit of rain (no surprises there), just about everywhere you look you get a stunning view. Just lovely!
