Wow what a day. What a great day.It all started out very great. Maywell phoned me last night to tell me the Avalanhce lilies were out in such great profusion that you would never be able to count them all. They truly are a spectacular sight. I am so lucky to go every year to this fine place and see them.So I woke up to sun, warmth, and a wee bit of fog.Started my journey over to Maywells...and the clouds were changing to grey.By the time I got to Maywells house i...

The pictures I am putting on this blog...some of them are part of my history, before my Father was born..most of the pictures are from slides that my Dad took. They are photos of things he enjoyed, life, family, friends, relatives...he loved all of that. He loved farming (well maybe not so much). He always wanted to be a Park Ranger...he loved the outdoors, mother nature, wildlife...and water. My Dad had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. I ne...

We headed back to Toronto on the train yesterday, pretty uneventful journey, we did get some views of Lake Ontario though once we were nearing Toronto. We arranged our train tickets to go to Jasper from Winnipeg next wednesday.
After signing in at HI Toronto we went to our room and were slightly disappointed - 3 bunkbeds all squashed into a tiny room - think we were both a little disheartened!! I'm sure its not going to be the worst of our travels!! Went out for a wander do...

I love living in this city, I am very lucky. There is so much beauty that surrounds this city, and Vancouver Island in general. I work right downtown (first job), close to the inner harbour. There is much crammed into a block, lots to see, and many things to do. There is the Greyhound bus station, goes anywhere pretty much (review to come later). Then there are restaurants about every half block, government street had lots to see, Empress hotel, and ...

Wow, my trip in China was something I'll never forget ... but as I look out the Hong Kong Oasis airline and fly over Northern-Mid-End of Vancouver Island I am suddenly reminded of the everlasting beauty and tranquility of Canada, my birth place! I must be getting home-sick for as much as I want to return to Asia, I now look forward to my new venture into Western Canada with my sister and her family who are keen on showing me various places around their hometown ...

Daddy (my husband Dancr) wanted to go for a walk with the family ... though I was partially interested to going shopping for some flowers (to fill the garden) ... but I put my wishes aside and went for the ride where he took pictures of Malard Ducks, Canada Geese, and the usual Seagulls ... then I snatched the camera and took a picture of the lake (to be named later) and many flowers (of course) but I really had a KEEN interest in the vaiety of bugs that were 'feasting' on the ...

I think I am very fortunate to live where I do,I am only a 20 minute drive from the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island and yet it feels like you are miles from anywhere, it's very peaceful.
My home is situated high on the Malahat mountain over looking the Saanich inlet, here are a few of my favourite pictures from within my garden

Love does move in mysterious ways. The dream of passionate lover came true when Philippine Airlines sealed a 12-year relationship between two highschool sweet hearts during a Vancouver-Las Vegas flight on September 21, 2007.
It all started when the airlines Customer Relations office received an email from Oliver Agala of Vancouver, Canada last September 19. What was expected to be a usual letter of complaint turned out to be one of the greatest favors a passenger could ask from...

I was taking a walk around Shaun's (milltownmeadow) gardens one day, Shaun was mentioning his garden's and being as he seems to have such little time taking pictures of his garden....he gave me this great idea and his permission to take photo's of his garden. (hahaha a light blub moment). I rent a lower suite in Shaun's great house so I am very lucky to wake up every morning to this lovely secret garden. I love his garden's out here in this great land, they are beautiful so...

My friend had a day off today. We both woke up at like 1 or 2pm. I did some laundry, read a book a little bit and was ready for another sunshine day :) Well, it was a hot day, actually.Went for lunch but this place you can eat breakfast all day so we had 'breakfast'. We were walking on St. Catherine and heard some noise so we went see what was going on. It was African something. They were dancing with loud music. Seems fun though. My friend showed me underground mall and walked around t...
