Indeed, cool mountain as my fellow reviewer wrote, but there's more.
In summer, 2 ways to get to the top: the Gondola, or the Grouse Grind.
The Gondola (warning: movie spoiler up ahead): this is the gondola that features at the end of the first Spiderman movie. Gondola + Lions Gate Bridge = no...

This was my first sight i visited in Canada. This sight is essential to anyone who appreciates the lavish lifestyle Joan Dunsmuir and her family enjoyed. If you enjoy history, you will enjoy this lavish castle. Built in 1890. Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria is an imposing Victorian mansion complete...

The weather in October was perfect to go onto the boat! It wasn't cold nor warm. Luckily they gave us a poncho to wear because you will get wet on this boat ride. The ticket booth is near the tourist strip on the Canadian side (and I think there is a boat leaving from the American side as well)....

Granville is a cute 'island' with art, shops, restaurants, theatres, galleries, and the occasional street performer. I usually spend a full day wandering around the shops, getting something to eat at the market and enjoying the view of Vancouver from the island!

On Canada Day (July 1st of each year) in Ottawa, a tour of the Royal Canadian Mint is open to the puplic for free. Canada's capital has many places open to the public and on this day Ottawa promotes various sights such as the Royal Canadian Mint at a low or no cost ... an excellent way to take in m...

Part of the Olympic Park, the Montreal Tower Observatory is conjoined with the Biodome and overlooks the Olympic stadium and the Olympic Village.
Apparently, the Montreal Tower is the highest inclined tower in the world, standing at 175m (574 ft) and at a (quite steep!) 45 degree angle. The con...

Takakkaw Falls are the third highest falls in Canada. And quite spectacular in my eyes. Its "free-fall" is 254 m (highest point: 384 m). "Takakkaw" is derived from the Cree word for "magnificent".
It is not a remote place but easily acessible. Just follow the Yoho Valley Road east of Field. After...

The easiest way to get here is get to waterfront station (probably by sky train) and then take the sea-bus over to this North Vancouver market. It’s the same idea as what the public market at Granville Island is, however this one isn’t nearly as great as the Granville Island one is. This one h...

Cool shops and narrow alleyways make for pretty interesting exploration in this part of the city. my friend and I both bought teapots, but I wish I had bought something that better represents the culture. Of course, this is a pretty busy area, so try to be patient with everyone.

On Okanagan Lake, this is a great beach. There’s a big sandy beach with trees for shade (if you want it) and there’s a big grassy area with a playground. The beaches floor (when in the water) is a sandy and rocky mixture, with not too much seaweed. It’s a family friendly beach with lots of ...

Burnaby mountain has the most beautiful view of burnaby and vancouver, especially at night time, you can see everything! I wouldnt recommend going to the restaurant 'horizons' located on the top of the mountain, as it is VERY overpriced. Burnaby mountain is the perfect place to spend an hour or so e...
