Campiello Ristorante - Naples - TravBuddy

Campiello Ristorante is the hot spot for nightlife dinner (indoor and out - as are the bars and the action) in the heart of old Naples. For a place this trendy and popular, the food is suprisingly good. Every course was delicious, from the freshly grilled calamari or other fishes to the imaginative pasta, to the interesting veal and chicken dishes. And the wine list is good and fairly priced.

The bar is definitely the place in old Naples to see and be seen. Drinks are good, but the place is always in a carnival mode for the well heeled crowd of seasonal residents and short term visitors alike.

You can go alone and make friends instantly all along the bar. Or, you can go with a group (there were six of us) and have a party blast!

Amazingly, I just happened to run into two diffent people, at two different tables, that I knew from New York who just happened to be in Naples - of course they went here. The crowd is happy and friendly - I had several drink offers from different people at the bar. Everyone seems happy to be in paradise!

I highly recommend this as a drink/dinner destination in Naples. The wrinkle = reservations are hard to get, or you'll wait for some time. But don't worry, the wait will be fun too!
