Campement Le Baobab Banfora Reviews
little piece of paradise Dec 01, 2008
This campement is very basic, there is no running water or electricity. But the beauty of the site and natural surroundings, and the extraordinary hospitality of the owners (a French man and his Burkinabe wife) and staff, turn it into a little piece of paradise.
You get your own little house to stay in. Simple but nice, with a mosquito net. Or you can pitch your own tent. The shared toilets and showers are traditional, i.e. a hole in the ground and a bucket of water. Oil lamps are handed out at night.
There is a restaurant on the site, where you can have African and European dishes. We had pizza, which was excellent.
Nearby are the Kerfiguéla falls, one of the most beautiful natural sites in Burkina.
