Camp Venice is Located in an old-growth oak hammock along the Myakka River. The "Florida Wild and Scenic Myakka River" flows through 57 square miles of wetlands, prairies and woodlands. Myakka is popular for hiking, fishing, camping, and wildlife observation. A bit of Old School Florida still exists in this Venice Florida campground next door to Snook Haven. Great canoeing, outstanding fresh & salt water fishing can be reached from your camp site. Separate but equally nice waterfront areas for the RV sites, the tent area and Rental Cabins makes for 3 different communities within one big Happy Family Setting. Miles of tropical waterfront and shaded areas can be found on the many nature trails with-in Camp Venice. Full everything you need Hook-ups, on-site canoe rentals, heated pool, camp store, laundry, 2-super clean bathhouses & propane sales which Old School needed before heading to site # 34 down by Turkey lane. The office staff was very friendly while checking in & also with direction to the Home Depot to get Duct Tape to fix the part of the Old School Mobile that blew off on the interstate I thought it was a bird, Honest!!
