Camden Court Hotel Dublin Reviews
Great location without being opressingly touristy Nov 15, 2009
My friend and I, both being in our late 20s (okay, she's in her early 30s, but it's a sore spot, so we'll say late 20s), decided to spend 3 days in Dublin seeing the sights (namely the Guinness brewery and as many local pubs as possible)so we were looking for a place to stay that was in the city within walking distance to some good restaurants, pubs and sights. We found that, at a reasonable price, at Camden Court Hotel. While the room provided strictly the basics, it was comfortable enough (though the shower was pretty awful - unless you enjoy battling to fit under an unmoveable showerhead with what can only be described as trickling drops of water) - otherwise, it did the job, at about 90 euros a night. It was within a 10 minute walk of Temple Bar, so you weren't kept awake by stumbling drunks and loud club music when you decide to call it a night, but you can still enjoy what the area has to offer.

Well we made it to Dublin. Most of the flight was ok. The only time I really felt uncomfortable was on landing. I am pretty sure the pilot was showing off to his pilot friends and tried to land the plane on one wheel! We were m…hotels. I am at the Camden Court Hotel. It is a bit further out from the city center than the other hotel. But everything is still within walking distance. Thankfully all the hiking I have been doing lately will make the walking here easier.
After… Trinity College, the Book of Kells, and joining the good fight! |
