In 2007 I went backpacking in South East Asia with a good friend of mine. We've spend 6 weeks visiting Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.

We split Cambodia in half, starting at the Cambodian border crossing of Poipot then onto Siem Reap & Angkor Wat then through the Capital Phnom Penh before entering Vietnam

In early Jan 2008 I left Canada for a 3 month trip to Cambodia,Thailand,Singapore,Malaysia,Brunei,Borneo and the Philippines. It was a great trip where I meet up will many TB members,here are some of the photos.

Visited the amazing temples of Angkor and experienced the culture in the countryside of Siem Reap and the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake.

5th--Cycling to city centre and morden temples alone riverside -> lunch in local vender --- "Home" (transit in Ho chi minh City of Vietnam)         

I spent 18 days for this trip. Went to Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.

First trip as a backpacker. I had great fun!! KL was nice but I loved Perhentian Islands the most...white sand beach...friendly local people...great snorkeling... oh, I miss there so much... Cambodia was great,too... you'll have very different feelings in the day time seeing how the locals live and in the evening enjoying yourself in a nice bar...

This is my Bog Blog! Call them whatever you like: dunnies, pissers, gravy bowls, pissoirs, porcelain caves, potties, loos, crappers, dumpers, shitters, outhouses, throne, bogs, longdrops, WC's. As much as we dont want to think about it, even good looking girls have to crap every day! The vast array of toilets in the world have fascinated me for a long time. This blog will be continuously updated as long as I continue to travel the world and wake up needing to hang a dump.

We crossed the Thailand-Cambodia border where we had to barter with the corrupt border officials who were wanting 30 dollars for a 20 dollar visa!  After some time we finally struck a deal of 23 dollars. Then we had to try and sort out transport to Siem Reap, we eventually found a taxi driver…

My friend took me suburb since i LOVE quiet places. I have met children who have never seen foreigners. this trip made me think. i would do whatever i can do for the village people i met. i have visitted really nice places where no foreigners could go, so i am really happy to see thier actual lives.
