What to you say about a place too spectacular for words? A place full of wonder and simply breathtaking scenery, and people who are so utterly interesting and friendly and have been through so much..Incredible, if you haven't been you have to go.

01.08.2007 - 21.08.2007 Cambodia! The realm of pain and suffering, war and poverty. Another example of how fanatic ideology can destroy. First days in C…must collect 800 cans. But that would be an impossible task because of the number of the competition also in search of empty cans. A lucky and very hard-working kid will be able to collect 50 cans a day the most, or 2500 riel… Cambodia

so, for work, everyone on my fam to Southeast Asia was asked to do a write up on the trip. i actually don't think anyone but me actually did one. and, following the theme of my laziness, i am going to paste it in here (with a few alterations), since…must have gotten my clumsy bug and did a superman-esque nose dive in our room later that night on the wet floor, so at least I wasnt the only one falling allover the place. It is very peaceful here and the los…must say that most westerners would be pleasantly surprised. The people are hungry for western culture. OK, so by now you know that I'm not a huge fan of the constant heat Cambodia seems to dole out on a daily basis.( The sweat drips down the back of your legs at the weirdest moments. Its hard to get a grip on things you pick up or try to open because…must be modestly dressed c. you will fry. On the other hand, all the stuff I brought is killing me. Lightweight, elbow length tee shirts from target just arent doing what they are supposed to do. aka, keep me covered and confortable. I started cutting… I'm Going Shirtless

Doesn't look like much from a distance, but once you get an inside you're treated to an endless variety of angles and compositions of the 216 heads carved into the stone of 54 towers . It was one of the last temples built in Angkor, and on…from the ravages of the jungle by Buddhist monks, Bayon was left to the devices of nature. Four and a half centuries took their toll, it's so beautiful and stoic now, I can only imagine what it must have looked like 700 years ago. … Ancient Royal Palace at Angkor Wat
