Calico Vacation Guide

Calico is a ghost town from the mining days in the adjacent hills. They mined boron and silver on what is now public land. For whoever dares be adventurous, at their own risk, there are open mine shafts dotting the landscape and a fantastic dry waterfall that can be used for rapelling. Less off the beaten path is the ghost town of Calico itself which has been restored to a point and is run as a tourist attraction and historical site, operated by Knotts Berry Farm corporation.
