This year was amazing, we managed to do not one but TWO round the world. Once going west using STAR Alliance and another one going east using OneWorld Alliance. Check Photos on each stop!

We arrived at 22:35 after a 30 minute stop at Antofagasta. Our tour agency picked our “Sonhos à Medida Group” up on a 9 PAX Minibus Sprinter for a 1 hour transfer to Hotel Casa Don Tomás in San Pedro de Atacama for accommodation. During our drive through the desert we got our first glimpse…

We started our 3 weeks trip with a 27 hour bus trip from Santiago to Arica. From there, we took a private tour to the National Park Lauca & N.P de la Vicuna's, down to Iquique. After visiting the port of Antofagasta, we headed for San Pedro de Atacama and visited the famous Valle de la Luna and Tatio Geysers. In our last week we headed back via La Serena to Santiago.

We were pretty-much forced to stay in Calama (a town that has been built on the back of the mining industry) because of our connecting bus to Salta, Argentina.  We were told by the bus company that it wasn´t possible to go from San Pedro, although to our irritation, we passed through San Pedr…

So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)
