Seafood Paella with waterfront view Oct 01, 2015
The seafood paella here is good although fiduea is more well known in Barcelona. This place also offers seafood fiduea. The bottom of the paella formed a thin layer of rice crust giving it a contrasting texture to the fluffy rice on top. The bomba rice flavorfully absorbed all the rich saffron seafood based stock.

Cal Pinxo is situated directly opposite of the Port Vell waterfront where all the yachts are neatly docked. The dining atmosphere was pleasant with occasional sea breeze caressing the cheek. Beware of the unusually friendly and attentive waiter who offers wet napkins as each napkin will cost 5 Euro. Spanish people are not known for their customer service skills except in high end fine dining places.

A seafood paella will cost 18.90 Euro.

Oh yes. Valencian paella usually contains chicken meat, rabbit meat and broad beans. In Barcelona, fiduea, a pasta type of paella is typical.

Paella dishes seem as different as there are regions of Spain, and wide spectrum of styles there.
