I enjoyed the tour of Cumbe Mayo and went to see if there was space on the bus for the day tour of the Porcon farm north of the city. There were just a couple spaces left and I was in time to nab one of them before the bus left with a full group. Cajamarca is the first real city of any size that I have encountered since Cuenca on my trip south from Ecuador. This is good because it has given me a chance to upload some pictures since the internet is fast enough to accomodate this, and to buy a few necessary things before I leave the for the towns in the mountains on the road south towards the Cordillera Blanca. Another early wakeup cause the customer wanted to check some stuff. I thought it would take a couple hours but it ended up taking 7. We got there at 6 am so we still had an afternoon. Daniel wanted to go to this place called Porcon (Por Cone). The turn off for it was on the way back from the mine and I had my camera with me so I was all for it.
