Cairo International Airport Reviews
Cairo Internationa Airport (CAI) Feb 26, 2009
I flew through Cairo International Airport aboard Egypt air in 2004 to Newark New Jersey in the United States. Cairo International is the hub of Egpt Airlines and so all flights their flights connect from here. My daughter and I spent 3 hours awaiting a connection to Newark. It is a big airport which is rather disorganized. At the time they were undergoing rennovations and so much had been moved around. We were transported from the plane to the arrivals terminal and picked up an hour later to the departure terminal which was almost 5 minutes away.
The waiting area was not comfortable at all, overly crowded I must add. |

What shocked me was on arrival to Cairo International Airport - the place is such a mess! There I was talking about how disorganised Indian airports are but they pale in comparison to the mess that is this airport. The other surprising thing is that travel coordinators and people that work in the travel… Day One: Salam Alaykum Cairo |

During the ride from the Cairo International Airport, visions of desert sands, date palms and statues of ancient pharaohs brought to mind scenes of Ramses II's exploits from the Hollywood classic The Ten Commandments . But when our driver Mahmoud, a proud local, pointed out the high-rise buildings and sprawling… calling on cleopatra |
