Cairns Tropical Zoo - Wild World Reviews

I find that most road trips are boring unless you and your traveling partners are willing to take a gamble on a roadside attraction. Of course, you need to be wary because of the likelihood of a tourist trap. However, you never know until you're in.
Luckily, my mate and I discovered the Cairns Tropical Zoo (a.k.a. Wild World) to be quite the gem shortly after starting a road trip up to Cape Tribulation from Cairns. Situated on over 15 acres of beautifully landscaped land, the zoo had a number of well-managed exhibits for the passing tourist and plenty for those with more time. I had seen quite a bit of zoos in Australia, but Wild World quickly jumped to the top based upon the layout and beauty of this zoo. The zoo has morning and afternoon educational programs aimed at giving visitors a hands-on experience with many of the wildlife. The zoo is 20 minutes north of Cairns. It's worth a look. |
