Cahuita is a small town on Costa Rica's southern Carribean coast, best known for its national park and its beaches. Cahuita is also a destination for surfers, backpackers and anyone looking for a good place to relax.
Cahuita National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, and is an excellent location to see howler and capuchin monkeys. The park is bordered by Cahuita's "white" sand beach, and a "black" sand beach stretches across the other side of town. There are opportunities for diving and snorkeling near the offshore coral reef.

People were staring at us from the moment we stepped off the bus with all of our gear, and not out ...
