Cagbalete is approx. a 1600-hectare island located east of Quezon Province, Luzon, Philippines with crystal-clear waters, white sand, and lush coconut plantation. It is part of Mauban, Quezon, and surrounded by the waters of Lamon Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
Part of the island is said to be populated by more than a thousand Visayan fisherfolks who have squatted in the undeveloped, idle lands. Sabang, the fishing village, is called home by families who earn their living from fishing, farming, and harvesting seaweeds.
The soft, white sand and sand bars during low tide can easily be mistaken for Boracay, but unlike Boracay, still unspoilt and uncommercialized. The surrounding marine life is also a great attraction to diving enthusiasts and to those who enjoy snorkeling, as it boasts of colorful corals, starfishes, coconut crabs and much more.
