Caffe Sforzesco Milan Reviews
Lunch in Milano May 15, 2012
Nothing special, but an enjoyed lunch spot in Milan. We had decided to sample a place with no English menu (confident in my wife’s Italian speaking and reading skills!), which worked well because it translated to reasonable prices. Of course where there is no English menu, the odds of staff speaking English is reduced, and Caffe Sforzesco was no exception. Of course this wasn’t a problem for us, but I will mention for it anyone out there who does not parla italiano.
Kim enjoyed some risotto a la Milanese, while Eric and I both ordered pizzas (margherita for Eric, diabolo for me). Being diabetic, it is rare that I would order pizza, but the crust was so thin (and yummy) that I ate the whole pie with no spike to my blood sugars. All our plates were excellent, service was quite good and we capped the meal with some lovely cappuccino.
We ate indoors, but most of the action was al fresco under their awning out on the piazza. A good option if you are hunting a meal around the Galleria.
