Eclectic Bohemian Cafe Z in Lima Jul 01, 2008
Since some years ago the cafes became popular in Lima. So, each of them tries to be different from the others. Café Zeta has an eclectic atmosphere, mixing the rustic with the industrial. The decoration is really nice and I love the benches – with a piece of fabric as the coffee bags, haha. It’s a cozy and bohemian place, ideal for everybody. If you want to go just by yourself, take a sit at the bar. If you are going to catch up with friends, there are big tables and if you are in a date, there are small tables too, just for you 2.
You can find the same variety in the coffees. They serve the traditional one as well as other mixed with tropical syrups. For all the tastes. There are also sandwiches, light and energetic ones, and desserts like fruit cakes and lemon pie – which are not to sweet, so they won’t steal the show from the coffee.
It’s located in a busy corner, which is not very good, because during some hours it’s really loud. If you are outside or close to the entrance it’s difficult to listen to your friends. But this is the only negative aspect of the café, if you could consider it so. The staff is friendly, but can be a bit slow. That's why I'm not rating them higher... sorry...
The price is more than good, besides the offers and Happy Hour, and the laid back atmosphere makes me always want to go back to enjoy a cup of hot coffee, especially during the cold days in Lima.
